We’re starting The Journal to help you plan a better trip to Patar Beach and Bolinao.

Over the years, guests have asked us the same practical questions: when to come, what to eat nearby, how to make the drive from Manila easier, what to pack for the beach, which cabin fits a particular group. We’ve answered those one guest at a time. The Journal is where we start writing the answers down.

Here’s what to expect. Each post answers one real question: a road trip detail, a food recommendation, a note about the beach, a look inside the cabins. We check the facts that change: hours, fees, road conditions, availability. We check them close to when we publish, and we date them so you know how current they are. When we show you a photo of the property, it’s a real one we took here.

We’re focused on Patar and Bolinao, and only on what we actually know. We’re a small team that knows this property well and stays careful about the area around it. We publish what we’ve checked ourselves.

We’ll add a post most weeks: a travel guide some weeks, a look at the cabins or the food nearby other weeks. Tell us if there’s something you wish we’d covered. That’s how most new topics find their way onto the list.
