The sound at the front of the property is the sea. It comes through open glass doors, in and out of conversations, and into the gaps between songs on whatever is playing on the porch. After a day it stops registering as a sound and starts feeling like the room temperature.
The cabins are sound-proofed, so the sea stays outside when you want it to and slides back in the moment you slide the doors open. Open them with morning coffee, leave them open for the afternoon, close them up when you turn in. The sea is patient and will be there in the morning.
