Our Story

Updated · June 6, 2026

Veue Beach Cabins started with a road trip. Dustin and June love driving and, when they found Patar Beach in Bolinao, they knew they had to build something in this particular place. The property opened in 2016 with the first Shoreline Cabins.

The Idea

We wanted a place where you can simply book a cabin and feel at home. No membership fees, no charges for services you don’t want, and no need to buy a property you would rarely use.

Every decision since has run through that idea. The cabins are single-detached, so each guest has their own walls and their own porch. The kitchens are real kitchens, so you cook when you want and eat what you want. The pools are open until late so the evenings stay yours. The property’s capacity is compact, by design, so the people you see are mostly the people you came with.

What Each Person Brought

Dustin handles the travel-and-business side. He shaped how the property operates, from the booking flow to the way the cabins are arranged.

June designed the cabins. The measurements, the proportions, the furniture, much of it is her hand-drawn work. The angle each cabin sits at so it catches the sea view, the bench that runs along the pool’s edge, the kitchen island that doubles as a mini-bar, those are her decisions. The furniture you sit on is the furniture she drew.

The Word “Veue”

“Veue” draws from the modern English word view and the Old French word for sight or vista. The Patar coastline, the sunsets over the West Philippine Sea, the long shoreline, the name is meant to point at all of it.

The Cabins’ Names

Each cabin is named after a Filipino artist whose work Dustin and June collect personally. Copies of that artist’s work hang inside the cabin that carries their name. The artists, by cabin:

  • Malang, Mauro Malang Santos, known for cubist Filipino street scenes
  • Kiukok, Ang Kiukok, known for his expressionist works
  • Sanso, Juvenal Sanso, known for dreamlike landscapes
  • Ibarra, Ibarra De La Rosa, known for nostalgic rural scenes
  • Baldemor, Manuel Baldemor
  • Dans, Araceli Dans
  • Marcel, Marcel Antonio
  • Maramag, Ben Maramag

What Came After 2016

The Shoreline Cabins have been quietly improved every year, with five rounds of renovation across a decade. In 2025, the Horizon Cabins were added, two larger two-bedroom units, elevated, with the most panoramic views of the property and the sea.

The plan from here is to keep the footprint as it is. Eight cabins, with improvements happening inside that boundary.
