The dramatic one. Falls 1 drops from a high cliff into a deep, dark basin, and there is a ledge above the pool that locals and visitors use for cliff jumping. The water is colder than it looks and the bottom is deeper than the surface suggests.
It runs hardest from June through September, and slows down towards the end of the dry season. If you are bringing kids or anyone who prefers a calmer swim, Falls 2 a few minutes up the road is the better choice. Wear sturdy shoes for the walk down to the basin, and pay the small entrance fee at the gate.
