The Art Behind Every Cabin

Updated · June 6, 2026

Each cabin at Veue Beach Cabins is named after a Filipino artist whose work Dustin and June collect personally. The cabin is decorated with a piece by the artist it’s named for. The artists span generations and styles (modernist, expressionist, dreamlike landscape, nostalgic rural).

The Six Shoreline Cabins

  • Malang, named for Mauro Malang Santos, known for cubist Filipino street scenes
  • Kiukok, named for Ang Kiukok, known for his expressionist works
  • Sanso, named for Juvenal Sanso, known for dreamlike landscapes
  • Ibarra, named for Ibarra De La Rosa, known for nostalgic rural scenes
  • Baldemor, named for Manuel Baldemor
  • Dans, named for Araceli Dans. The owners’ own vacation home, not available for rent.

The Two Horizon Cabins

  • Marcel, named for Marcel Antonio
  • Maramag, named for Ben Maramag

Why the Cabins Are Named This Way

Dustin and June have been collecting Filipino art for years. When the property was being designed, the question of what to call each cabin came up. They could have used numbers, or compass directions, or beach-themed names. Naming the cabins after the artists in their collection felt more personal, and the artwork inside each cabin grounds the name in something you can actually see.

Stay in Malang, and you’ll find a Malang piece on the wall. Stay in Kiukok, and you’ll find a Kiukok. The artwork is part of the cabin’s character.
