Caretaker Services and Extras

The caretakers are part of why Veue runs the way it does. They live on the property and are around through your stay. Below is what they can help with.

Check-in, Check-out, and Luggage

The caretakers meet you when you arrive and see you off when you leave. They will help with your luggage between your car and the cabin so you can settle in without hauling bags through the gardens or up the stairs.

Extra Tables and Chairs on Your Porch

If you’d like more outdoor seating or table space, the caretakers can bring out extra tables and chairs and set them up right on your porch. Useful for a larger group meal, sundowner drinks, or just spreading out a bit more than the cabin’s standard porch setup allows.

BBQ Setup

The property has portable barbecue grills. The caretakers can set up a grill right in front of your cabin. Just let them know when you’d like it ready. Charcoal is available on the property; firewood for the firepit is available too.

Boat Arrangements

The caretakers can arrange a boat to the Patar Rock Formations toward Bani, or to other secluded beaches accessible from the shoreline. Let them know on arrival or any time during your stay and they will coordinate it for the day you want.

Daily Sea Conditions

The caretakers know the beach. If you are planning a swim or a walk and want to check on currents, waves, or any local advisory, ask them in the morning. Conditions change with the season. Calm and shallow during dry months, more dramatic during the wet season. The caretakers will tell you what to expect that day.

Cleaning During Your Stay

If you’d like your cabin cleaned mid-stay, ask. The caretakers will arrange a time that works for you. The same goes for the kitchen, just let them know if you’d rather they handled the dishes and wipe-down.

Borrowing Things

If you need a flashlight, a corkscrew, an extra pillow, an iron, or anything else, ask the caretakers. They will do their best to help.

Tipping

Tipping is not required. We encourage it. The caretakers go out of their way for guests, and a tip is the cleanest way to recognize that. There is no service charge added to your bill, so anything you give goes directly to them.

How to Reach Them

You can find the caretakers at the staff house behind the Horizon Cabins, or flag them on the property. Each cabin also has their direct contact on a card by the phone.
