Cooking in Your Cabin
Updated · June 6, 2026
Every cabin at Veue is set up for real cooking, not heat-and-serve. If you want to make a full meal for your group, you can. If you want to make coffee and a quick breakfast, you can do that too.
What the Kitchen Includes
- Two-plate induction stove
- Microwave oven
- Toaster oven
- Two-door refrigerator (7 cubic feet)
- Rice cooker
- French press for coffee
- Boiling pot (for water, pasta, anything that needs simmering)
- Frying pan and pots with utensils
- Cooking knives
- Can opener, bottle opener, wine opener
- Complete dining set, plates, bowls, drinking glasses, wine glasses, coffee mugs, utensils, serving plates
- Hot water pot for coffee and tea
Shoreline cabin kitchens are stocked for four guests. Horizon cabin kitchens are stocked for six.
What You Can Make
Pretty much anything you would cook at home with a two-burner induction setup plus a microwave and a toaster oven. Pasta, stir-fries, grilled fish, rice meals, breakfasts, soups, salads. The cookware is complete enough to handle a multi-course dinner if you want to do that.
A few practical limits worth noting:
- Two burners at a time means juggling on big multi-pan meals
- The pots are home-sized, not commercial, so very large batches are tricky
- For a proper grill, set up the BBQ outdoors (the caretakers will bring it to your cabin)
BBQ on the Property
You don’t need to use the cabin kitchen for everything. The caretakers can set up a portable BBQ grill in front of your cabin on request. Just ask, ideally with a couple of hours notice so they can get the charcoal lit.
- Charcoal is available on-site for purchase (small charge applies). You can also bring your own.
- Firewood for the firepit is available on the property.
- Grilling utensils are included with the grill when caretakers bring it out.
Tips from Past Stays
- Stock up before you arrive. Bolinao town has groceries, but the bigger supermarkets are further out, better to do the shopping in Alaminos or Bolinao on the way in.
- Bring spices and condiments that you actually use at home. The cabin kitchen has the cookware but not your spice rack.
- Fridge space is generous. The two-door refrigerator has room for your snacks and groceries, and it fits up to five-liter water containers if you bring drinking water in bulk.
A Note on Cleanup
The kitchen comes clean. You’re welcome to leave it clean yourself, or ask the caretakers to handle the dishes and counter wipe-down on request. If anything breaks during your stay, let the caretakers know. Small breakage is covered by the security deposit; larger items are billed separately.
