Where Exactly Is Patar Beach?
Updated · July 13, 2026
Patar Beach is a specific place, and it helps to know exactly where it is before you book a stay anywhere near it.
The Short Answer
Patar Beach is the west facing white sand shore of Barangay Patar, Bolinao, Pangasinan, where the sun sets over open sea. Veue Beach Cabins sits directly on it, in Sitio Abrac, Barangay Patar. When we say beachfront, we mean the beach right in front of your cabin.
The Geography
Bolinao is a municipality at the northwestern tip of Pangasinan, divided into barangays, each with defined boundaries. Patar is the barangay at the southwestern corner of the peninsula, next to Pilar. Its western shore faces the open West Philippine Sea, and that west facing stretch of white sand is what the name Patar Beach properly refers to. The stretch in front of Sitio Abrac is also called Patar White Beach.
Neighboring barangays have their own coastlines. Ilogmalino, for example, is a separate barangay northeast of Patar, next to Dewey, Estanza, and Tupa, with its own shore. A resort there is on Ilogmalino’s beach, not on Patar Beach, however the listing is labeled.
Why the Confusion
“Patar Beach” has become a marketing label for the broader west Bolinao beach area. Booking sites and map pins sometimes apply it loosely to properties along Patar Road or in neighboring barangays, well before the Patar sand itself. The label is doing area duty, not address duty.
How to Check
Check the barangay, not the label. If the address says Barangay Patar, you are on Patar Beach. If it says another barangay, you may be booking a different beach, whatever the listing is called.
One practical tip for the drive: navigate to Veue Beach Cabins by name. Map pins labeled only “Patar Beach” can drop you along Patar Road, well before the sand.
